We call Proverbs a book in the Old Testament, but it is really not a book at all. It is actually a collection of several writings that have been brought together into a single volume and titled as “The Book of Proverbs.” While proverbs might seem brief, they hold deep meaning about how life is supposed to work and how to best live under the rulership of Yahweh God. Therefore, if we desire to grasp the wealth of knowledge and guidance that Proverbs has to offer, it will require of us an investment of time and effort to understand and reflect on them.
